We loved it!

Room Type: Oceanview

Though the Inspiration is over 10 years old, it is well maintained and clean. The quality of the food in the dining rooms is excellent, though quantities leaned toward the smaller side. The benefit of that, however, was that it left room for dessert without that "stuffed" feeling. Service was friendly and attentive in every area, whether from the room steward, restaurant staff, or the Purser's office. Friends traveling with us had a minor issue with water leaking in their shower, and the problem was attended to quickly and efficiently. The only drawbacks on this particular cruise had to do with the large numbers of college students on board for spring break (many of whom congregated loudly in the hallway outside our stateroom until the wee hours of the morning), and the tendering process to get from the ship to the dock in Cozumel. The loooooooong line that formed on the Lido deck for tender stickers and the equally long wait for a tender cut drastically into the time available for activities ashore. Since this cruise was reportedly "sold out", perhaps that isn't as much of a factor at other times of the year when the ship isn't so crowded. One other suggestion: print out the deck plans of the ship before you go or you will be lost most of the time. The decks are not well marked except by the elevators, which is also one of the only places you'll find the deck plans displayed. Since not every elevator goes to every deck, you'll save lots of steps if you know in advance which elevator to take. Overall, we loved our cruise and have had nothing but postitive experiences with Carnival.

Pros: Food, service, friendly crew

Cons: Spring breakers on board
