I would not reccommend The Inspiration

The ship was in poor physical condition. There were holes in the walls in some areas. The staff was completely unenthusiastic and in many cases rude. We saw 2 passengers trip and fall with employees all around them and not one employee approached them to ask if they were seriously injured! On day 3 we found a purse with a woman's wallet in it. We tryed to turn it into the bar tender on Lido deck and he informed us that we had to take it to Purser's desk on level 7. This unfortunately was basicaly the theme of the entire cruise. This cruise also takes you to back/uninhabited side of Cozumel where you are at the mercy of the weather to get to shore. Port authority could not allow tendering to shore so we were turned away and did not enter Mexico. I would reccommend checking whether your cruise docks or anchors with tendering service. Please keep in mind that I have cruised ON Carnival 4 times in the last 5 years so all comparisons were made against their own cruise line!! We have always had great experienes before and were quite surprised and disappointed!

Pros: The only area that met my expectations was the dining room service (NOT the food)

Cons: The overall lack of attention by basically the entire crew

Recommends Carnival Inspiration? No.

Food and Dining
The quality of food was average @ best. Many dishes were overcoooked and had to be sent back on numerous occassions. The Lido deck buffet area had a horrible sour smell the entire cruiuse.
Cabin / Stateroom
Ship Quality
Service and Staff
Cozumel, Mexico
Du to weather conditions (winds) we were denied access by tender and left without entering Mexico. This would not have been an issue if we were taken to the commercial side of the island!
George Town, Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman offer a range of interesting things to do, however to return to the ship the tender process took an average of 1.5 hrs in the hot sun. There were a total of 8 cruise ships in port that day with short layovers. There were quite a few incidents where people passed out in line and ambulances were sent to assist.
