Rest & Relaxation

Sail Date: July 17, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We sailed on the Inspiration 5 years ago and the refurbished decor actually looked better than the original. She is 10 years old but still looks great throughout. It was a pleasant surprise on how they managed to maintain her beauty. We would not hesitate to rendevous with her in the future and in fact, it would be our privilage to sail with her again.

Pros: Food, food, and more food.

Food and Dining
The food is better than average but certain things are better than others. The omelettes and deli sandwiches were great but the beef dishes served for dinner were disappointing. It's best to opt for the seafood which was always flavorful.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our cabin for some reason did not have 2 twins on the bottom. It makes no sense why any cabins would be equipped with just bunk beds. The rest of the cabin was big enough for its use which is to get some rest in between activities.
Entertainment
A matter of opinion only but I would like to have seen more professional type of entertainment and exclude the talent show and the newlywed game varieties.
Ship Quality
This is the ideal size for a cruise ship, not so big that would wear you out just walking back and forth from one end to the other or so small that you recognize the people you pass by daily. It is very clean throughout and it's still modern in looks.
Service and Staff
Our cabin steward always kept our cabin 'ship shaped' without being visible. Our head waiter was very attentive and gracious with all our requests.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The beach is great. The turtle farm is worth a look just to see the different sizes. Hell is unique but not to die for.
Don't Miss: 7 mile beach.
