Service was really good - food was 1 notch above slop - I could not eat the food without holding back the feeling of almost barfing after the rancid smell at the entrance to the main dining room and the Lido deck food court. I was glad to get home and eat real food again. Overall this is what I expected and I know this is what you get with these short & cheap cruises - so it's not really a bad thing - it is just the way it is.

**SAVINGS NOTE** If you are planning shore excursions - you should book them directly with the providers - YOU WILL SAVE MORE THAN 60%!!!

In Ensenada - the bus that picks you up and takes you into town ($3.00 round trip) these guys OWN the excursions that Carnival marks up - so just go on the bus back to their drop off. We did horseback riding for $35.00 instead of $75.00 per person and $15.00 to La Bufadora instead of $65.00. Have fun!

Onboard Activities

Kids had fun at the 02 club for our 16 year old and for the Ocean Club for out 7 year old - actually our 7 year old did not want to leave the kids club each time we let him go there.

Entertainment

Great comedians - although they both had lame/fake sob stories and were begging for cash handouts after all of their shows (we saw 5 shows and they did it at all 5) because they both said that Carnival does not pay them enough.

Service and Staff

Ana was our room steward - she instantly made us feel at home. She always greeted us with our names - she felt like a sister or cousin - very comfortable

Ship Quality

Overall the ship was very clean but - there was a rancid smell at the entrance to the main dining room and the Lido deck food court.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We think that the porthole room is the hot ticket for the best value
