Didn't live up to expectations

Sail Date: November 22, 2015

Overall, we had a nice time but it was mostly because we got some rest and spent meaningful time together.  The food was FAR below expectations (and we've cruised with Carnival before where the food was excellent - Caribbean).  The ship must have been booked to the max.  Regular 30 minute wait times for dinner.  Too many people.  Food seemed like it had to be prepared too fast in too much bulk to be as tasty as we're used to on cruises.  Servers (other than Conrad, who was awesome) seemed a bit impatient and not very knowledgeable about the food on the menu.  Jack Ryan (musician with acoustic guitar) was awesome!  A budding young talent... so was the group that did the 80's epic rock show!  Our room steward was also very nice and on top of things (though it was difficult for him to do things beyond his control- like the crying baby in the next room or the smoke smell that came into our room when we turned on the ventilation.  We still enjoyed our time, despite these disappointments, but next time will go back to Holland America.
