This was my first cruise so I didn't know what to expect, but it really was way fun! Our shore excursion in Ensenada (horseback riding) was delightful, and the day at see was beautiful and relaxing. We would've been happy to spend another day at sea! We will definitely be going on more cruises in the future. Our main qualm is ecological concerns, and Carnival is reportedly making good strides in this regard. However, before we go on our next cruise we will definitely be doing research to make sure we're going with the most eco-friendly cruise line. If that's Carnival, then radical.

Onboard Activities

We're not big gamblers, and apparently the rules are much looser at sea. So there's that. We were pleasantly surprised by the mini golf and ping pong, but we honestly spent too much time dozing on deck chairs with pina coladas to do any of that. Also the kids on board kind of monopolized the ping pong. Go figure. :/

We're honestly weren't interested in any of this.

Very nice. We basically went the cheapest route and it was still very pleasant. Good deal!

Ship Tip

Tip generously! These folks work very hard for long hours, and the included gratuity is the bare minimum.

Don't buy drinks until after the muster drill. We wasted $40 on delicious tropical drinks only to endure the most sobering hour of our lives. But don't try to skip it! You'll hold everyone up.
