We took this cruise just to get away for a few days.  It is an older ship and looks a little worn out.  (Carpets, windows in stateroom, showers) . However, everything was very clean. The service was great, the food was good, and we relaxed.  The pool area was a little too busy for our tastes.  Partly due to the grill being right there and partly due to the very loud dj.  We were able, though, to find several other places on the ship that were quieter.  The serenity deck was one (adults only). First time we had an ocean view room.  We usually book a balcony but we were trying to do this as an inexpensive getaway.  Not a good decision!  Room was small, no refrigerator, no way to get "air". From now on we will only book balconies.   The only time we saw a show was in the afternoon of our last day at sea.  It was at 3 pm and was very funny.  Other shows were too late for us( 10-11pm) they had only one showing. If we cruise again with carnival we would definitely want a newer ship an a balcony.
