Waste of money

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

On this short three day cruise we decided to upgrade to a grand suite hoping that the cabin would be a once in a lifetime treat for us even though the price was much higher.  We were disapointed in the decor, cleanliness, and service we received.  We needed to request that the bathroom be scrubbed before we unpacked and found clothing articles from a previous guest.

We have been on 27 cruises and believe the over-all service and attention to detail on the Carnival cruise lines has deteriorated over the last twenty years.  Service in the dining room is poor and the the waiters and busboys seem to be stretched and not able to adequately service their guests.  The entertainment also no longer is enjoyable as in the past with very limited music for dancing unless you enjoy latin or hip hop.  As for the ship, this is the third time we have cruised on the Imagination and we still enjoy this type of ship vs the newer class (i.e. Carnival Breeze) of Carnival where the square footage per passenger is much lower and you feel very crowded and you are always waiting in a line.
