This was a first time cruise for me! Now of course when you look at the pictures and then where the cruise is headed and what there is to do on the ship it all looks like a fabulous time. Who wouldn't want to go to Mexico? Key West? Right? It was a blast. The only downsides are to this cruise and or itinerary are that the stay in Key West was short. Shorter then I would have liked. The stay in Mexico was a bit longer, the weather was nice on both days we were at ports.
The things that most people don't write about what to do on a cruise and or what happens are things such as...the day you get to a port of course your excited to see something perhaps you haven't before! Who isn't? Well when people don't often write about are the days at sea. Ok so we had what one full day at sea...or 2? I can't remember as it had been almost a month. However the days at sea are and can be just as fun. What i noticed is that myself, not a heavy drinker, did do a lot of drinking which in turn translated into a lot of money spent on beers/drinks!
Now just because your at sea or on a cruise ship doesn't mean you have to always be drunk or drinking to enjoy your self, there are many shows, events, competitions and just many times you can simply find a spot to pull up a lounge chair and simply relax. You don't always have to pay for your drinks. I mean there are alternatives such as Iced tea, water and juices at the various buffets and bars located through out the cruise ship.
The food was good, it was at some points down right awesome! But this is definitely a ship that was more suited for the first time cruiser as in myself, or people traveling with kids, families, and or newlyweds who want to simply just have a short cruise and a good time.
I've seen that through pictures this ship is a little old and or dated compared to some of the newer ones. Thats not to say it wasn't a great time! It surely was. But as i stated, Myself not the drinker type spent a lot of my money drinking the first 2 days! You kind of have to watch as that sail and sign card can get you in to a bit of debt before you realize it!
Of course as i stated also previously before there are shows, events and etc that you can also do to have a good time and or just exploring the ship. The duty free shop has a lot of alcoholic beverages and cigarettes and other things at prices you usually wouldn't see otherwise. Cheap. But careful there, i think your only allowed some 900 dollars of duty free shopping and tax free shopping to declare coming through customs as you re-enter the US. Otherwise your paying sales tax.
Now buying your liquor on the ship and or at ports comes at a price...you can't have it in your state room until roughly around 9pm the night before your cruise ends at its destination port. Not all bad. But also keep in mind to those of you who like to buy things and not want to share them with the ship...keep in mind that each and every time you come back onto the ship at the various ports you are going through a metal detector and having your bags and items scanned.
The ship and the cruise over was a great experience for me. I had a lot of fun but in the end i realized after see'ing other ships that perhaps this was more of a family cruise, with lost of kids, newlyweds, familys etc. Anything but a singles type of cruise. Still the entertainment was a good time. Everyone was super polite and super courteous. Don't forget your room service menu is available 24/7 and everything on it is included...want 2 slices of that cheese cake? Order it! They'll bring it right up with in mins!
It was a great time and i sure would take another the carnival cruise ship the Immagination. I had a blast and enjoyed myself. But as i stated, watch that sail and sign card! It could end you up paying a good bit of your spending money to a bar tab!

Cabin / Stateroom
The Lido or pool deck was the best spot for eating and lounging.. Also its cheaper to buy your excursions at the ports you visit rather then through carnival itself.
