Good cruise but beware of party crowd

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Suite

we had a great cruise...wonderful break. suite was worth the extra money for the space. But two criticisms: i strongly believe carnival should separate family cruises from party cruises. I traveled with two children and was uncomfortable with the number of people drunk. at one point we actually saw a young underaged woman walking down the hall in just her bra and shorts very drunk. I was concerned about her safety and not comfortable with the major party atmosphere around the pool. second, we booked an excursion in Cozumel thru carnival. the guide ran late getting going, and then took too long at the Mayan ruins cutting our time on beach and ocean short...he was still an hour late getting us back. additionally the guide stopped at an unscheduled part of the excursion under the guise of using the restrooms but we were faced with high pressure sales for merchandise/souvenirs. then at the ruins, same thing...had to listen to a sales pitch for sovuvenirs before seeing the ruins, and then on the beach were approached by people selling their wears about every five minutes...it seriously distracted from the experience.

go to the rotisserie by the pool...no line...lines on each side are for grill and food is pretty good at the rotisserie
