invalid-31690 Sail Date: August 27, 2012 Ship: Carnival Imagination Cabin Type: Oceanview Traveled As: Couple Reviewed: 5 years ago
the ship was nice, its smaller than i had hoped and there wasnt too much to do.. I guess i just had high expectations. but the rooms were great, the beds were alright. everything is so small but it really is welcoming and comfortable. The public areas were always clean but there just wasnt ever much space. the dining ares were nice and the eating areas around the ship were easily accessed and always well kept
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
the food in the dining room was always either under or over done. the flavor was never fresh\, i got a lot of my food at a cooler temperature.. but it was always hit or miss. i feel like the second night wasnt too bad i didnt have any complaints but i had so many more bad experiences that really just trump the good ones.
the room service (not to mention every time room service was ordered it never took less than an hour to deliver) was terrible. the food was disgusting and my husband nor i ate any of it any time we ordered it. the bread was disgusting and everything had a canned fish taste to it (and i got a BLT once.. why should it taste like fish?)
BUT the 24 hour pizzeria was wonderful thank god it was there because we would have starved to death. it was always good and the horizon bar and grill was okay i loved the variety there. the two buffets were really good too but they were never open for very long

the shows were really good. but whenever something was going on outside around the pool we never really heard about it\, the only way to find out was to read about it in our hand outs we got under the doors
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
when we had questions prior to getting on the ship (because we had a huge fiasco with hurricane issac) no one ever knew what was going on and we never had a straight answer.. but when we were on the ship the service was always good. and like i said our steward was the cutest thing i have ever seen\, he was soo nice and was always around to greet us and ask us about our activities.

Cabin / Stateroom

our rooms were pretty comfortable. we always slept really well (the beds are a little hard but still comfortable)
Pros: the shows and comedy acts were really great. our steward was awesome
Cons: the food was awful and room service was the worst.
