Carnival's Imagination is a fun ship for bargain pricing but not one to go on for great food. It's close to the quality of a neighborhood Applebee's. We knew this having experienced other superior cruises but took advantage of the lower pricing for a cruise on a whim and food was not our priority this time. The sushi kiosk type restaurant was good for a quick snack and Starbucks was nice to find onboard, however, did cost extra. The casino staff was friendly but not the best they could have been and seemed tired. Did find the video blackjack more fun and profitable. The cabin was well maintained and the staff awesome. Very high winds so we didn't stay by the pool much. The evening show the first night was full of bad dancers and singers were just ok. The comedy performers were great and it was nice that they made everyone under 18 leave so families with strollers were not allowed. All the adults loved that. The ship was very clean and evening dining staff was fine. Again, the food, not so much. The ports were great and fun and it was quick and easy to leave and return to the ship. Our debarkation went super fast and was easy enough. All in was a Carnival Cruise and mostly what was expected. Carnival is for fun...not gormet food.

Pros: The price was right. The excursions were a lot of fun. We swam with the dolphins in Cozumel.

Cons: The food.

Recommends Carnival Imagination? Yes!

Food and Dining
Applebee's quality. No more.
Service and Staff

Nice staff but many seemed very tired and exhausted.
Par for a Carnival Cruise. The evening dance and singing shows were not great but comedy was awesome. The dance clubs were fun and latin band was great.
Ship Quality
All the facilities were kept clean and staff was always present to make sure of it.
Cabin / Stateroom
Clean and comfy
Key West, Florida
Tour the Hemingway House! It is great for those who love history, museums, and touring famous homes. Great guide with a tour and learned things we didn't know already about an amazing writer. Went to Captain Tony's Saloon, which is the original Sloppy Joe's. Tons of opportunity to walk and shop and look around a great place. Shuttle from and to ship was interesting and the driver shared great info too.
Don't Miss: Hemingway House
Cozumel, Mexico
Only went to swim with Dolphins and then hung out with a ton of other passengers at Fat Tues Day.
Don't Miss: Dolphinaris Dolphinarium where you can swim with Dolphins. GREAT FUN!!
