Our first cruise

Sail Date: June 20, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

The workout room was nice, but I thought they had a small court for volleyball and basketball, but they didn't. The pool was way too small and crowded to attempt to enter. There were people standing shoulder to shoulder in the water, unable to move for most of the day. Overall, it was a good time; however, I think the 4 teenagers we had with us enjoyed it much more than we did! Nice job with the youth clubs, as they had fun meeting other kids and exploring all the ship had to offer.

Pros: the food was outstanding, great service, cleanliness around the ship

Cons: too crowded, the pool is too small, need more athletic activities

Recommends Carnival Imagination? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
We had to use a pull out cot, which made the room a little tight, but it worked.
I think they need more activities for the adults. The dancing classes were fun, and I am not a dancer.
Ship Quality
Everywhere we went was clean or in the process of being clean. Again, the public areas were a little crowded, but the cruise was sold out too.
Food and Dining
The best food I have had on a vacation - ever! The dining room food was outstanding, but the buffet food was good as well.
Service and Staff
Our waiters/waitresses in the dining room were wonderful. They knew us by name after the first meal and were attentive to every need.
Children's Programs
Lots to do for the teenagers.
Key West, Florida
Not a whole lot of time to do much of anything except shop.
Cozumel, Mexico
We went snorkeling and enjoyed the sights; however, there were too many people in the group (40 or so) and we had to follow a guide and not wander off on our own. The guide was very good at finding and pointing out various marine life hiding in coral or the sand though. We got to see a nurse shark that he flushed out as well as sea horses, rays, and of course different fish.
