Review Summary

It has been about 5 years since my last cruise and the Carnival Imagination was not the best way for me to start cruising again. Overall, the ship was overcrowded and not big enough to accomodate the numerous people on board. Lines for buffet meals were long, ship service staff had no sense of urgency or organization when it came to feeding the masses. We waited for in line for 30 minutes for breakfast on Day2; and my companion waited in line 45 minutes for lunch on Day 3.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was average. If you are looking for a gourmet dining experience, this is not the ship for you. Seated dinning area was nice and staff was accomodating and friendly. Off hour options lacked variety...pizza and fries after 2 days gets boring.

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Ships decor is dated and dark. PUblic eating areas were slow to be cleaned off, leftover food and trays attracted birds while docked in the Bahamas.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was great for 2 people. Plenty of storage area for clothing and luggage

Ports Of Call

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
Nassau is a shopping and beach port. There is not much to see other than the Atlantis hotel complex
Don't Miss: Atlantis resort,

Pros: staterooms

Cons: overcrowded, meal options , ship decor

Recommends Carnival Imagination? No.
