Review summary

We recently sailed on the carnival imagination. The ship seems to be a little older. The rooms were nice we stayed in an oceanview stateroom. There was only one swimming pool on the ship and it wasn't made for the children. There was kids play area up on deck 11 with water feature and 3 water slides. A small one for little children, a bigger one for bigger kids and adults and a large on for adults and big kids.

The food on this trip was average. However very disappointed, on other cruises the food was wonderful, with lots of different choices every time. This was not the case here. The buffets mostly were hotdogs, burgers, fries and easy sides. There were few choices on the other buffets as well. Wait time in lines for food was long compared to other cruises as well. Food in the dining room was good but not spectacular like before.

camp carnival is a great thing for the kids. They were very nice and wanted to make sure that we were comfortalbe with them watching our children whether it was all day or just a few minutes.

Service and Staff

The staff was there but didn't make you feel like they wanted to be there. Everyone did their job for most part but did not go over and beyond like other cruises. No one seemed to be very friendly. The cleaning staff for the rooms were not wonderful. One of the days out of the four, our room was not serviced until about 7 in the evening when they came in for the turn down service. We had been out of our room all day since breakfast. Back in room couple of times just to get something or leave something.

ship size was about normal i think, the layout was normal compared to my other experiances. The public areas were a little small in alot of the areas. The decor i think was a little outdated, and the cleanliness was no where as good as prior experiences.
