Great Time!

Sail Date: June 28, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Suite

The Imagination is starting to show its age. This cruise would be great for first time Cruisers and there were alot of those onboard. The minature golf course needs refurbishing as the greens were worn and torn. The Staff was attentive and helpful. The A/C in our cabin was fair and at the beginning asked for a repair person to check it. It was bearable just not what we were used to. Camp Carnival was great as usual!! Everyone that has kids should take advantage of this service, the kids love it. Our daughter is 4 and wanted to go back every day. I highly recommend checking into the Dolphin Encounter at Chaakanaab National Park in Cozumel. It was FANTASTIC there. It is NOT offered as a excursion on Carnival Cruises but you can book it on your own online. Besides the Dolphin encounter there is great snorkelling available there, a beach,a pool to use. We LOVED it there.

Pros: The Dolphin Encounter at Chakanaab National Park

Cons: Ship was showing its age

Recommends Carnival Imagination? Yes!

Ship Quality
Showing its age. But acceptable.
Food and Dining
Food was good. Tables were crowded. Our table had 11 people at it.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a suite and it was nice and I would have gave an excellent rating except for the A/C.
Service and Staff
Very Friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed the shows and late night comedy acts
Children's Programs
Carnival Always has the Best Childrens programs!!! This is our 6th Carnival Cruise and they have always done exceptional with the kids.
Cozumel, Mexico
We booked ourselves online Dolphin Encounter at Chaakanaab National Park. IT WAS one of the BEST experiences that we have had on a cruise and it was NOT OFFERED on CARNIVAL. Carnival has a Dolphin encounter but we suggest the Chaakanaab Park.
Don't Miss: Chaakanaab Park
Key West, Florida
Keys are Fun..The Fury Cattamaran was a Fun trip but it was windy and we had to go on the Gulf side to snorkel and there was not much to see.
