Truly a "fun" ship

Sail Date: May 31, 2010

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Loved the water park area!! Lots of lounge chairs for parents to relax and see the kids playing. Adult deck was misplaced under several other decks, always thought it was on the top of the ship for privacy. The room attendant was always on top of things keeping the room very clean and tidy, supplying us with dry, clean towels several times a day if needed.

Pros: that there was something for every member of the family

Cons: Freddy didn't appear very much and the night life fizzled a bit

Recommends Carnival Imagination? Yes!

Entertainment
There were some great activities planned. Mostly stayed with the kids at the waterpark.
Ship Quality
Very tight fit in hallways during mealtime and where pictures being taken. Had to go up a floor and over then down a floor to get to dinner. Bathrooms were hard to find at times. Very clean and modern though.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was great. I was worried about having 4 to a room, but it was not crowded at all.
Food and Dining
Food was fantastic. Many choices.
Service and Staff
Always pleasant and helped with any needs.
Children's Programs
I was concerned about putting my kids in the camp carnival, but they were all nice and friendly young ladies!!
Cozumel, Mexico
We took the longer tour of the Mayan Ruins. We had to take a 45 min boat ride and a 45 min bus ride to get to the Ruins, but the bus stopped off at a place and said it was the last place for us to use the restrooms until later that day, so we all opted to stop, but the whole time on the bus, it was like home shopping network, he was advertising all the things we could buy when we stopped. Then when we got to the Ruins, we had to wait for people to order the necklace the guide was wearing and then we had to wait for people to purchase a right to use their video camera and then we had to wait for people to purchase a ticket to ride a little shuttle back to the Ruins, then we had to wait for people to pay the guys dressed up as natives to let us take their picture!!! It was such a hoax, by the time we got to the actual Ruins, we only had 1-1.5 hours to spend at the Ruins and the beautiful beach combined. Then they kicked us off the beach early so we could return to the shopping area!!
Don't Miss: The actual Ruins and the beach if you can get there quicker and cheaper!!
Key West, Florida
We went snorkeling off Key West. The reefs off Cayman Islands was much prettier and closer to the surface, however the boat ride out was nicer and I liked the enclosed sort of area where we snorkeled.
Don't Miss: didn't have a whole lot of time before or after snorkeling
