Sail Date: December 15, 2008
Ship: Carnival Imagination
Cabin Type: Oceanview

We recently went on this cruise with friends and family. The five day time frame was good for some that just want to get away for a few days. It did not allow much time in port, however. There was just about enough time to take the conch train and have lunch in Key West . Cozumel was a little better with 9 hours in port.
The ship staff was good and helpfull. They didn't all have much english but were able to do what they needed to do.
The worst aspect was check in. The lines were long and the agents handling the check in process moved at a pace you find with post office employees or the drivers license department. Totally indifferent to the lines of people stacked up.
I recommend getting all your paperwork done on-line prior to getting to the terminal. Once we got to the check in, it took only a minute since we had everything and just needed to pick up the room key - charge card.
Ports of Call
Pros: The staterooms and staff were very good.
Cons: The embarcation process and check in people were very aggravatingly slow it was like a bunch of civil servants. Checking in took over two hours. Several went on break while the lines were still full.
