Review Summary
We had not cruised on Carnival previosly because we had heard it was a "wild party boat." Then we heard things had changed. And we were pleased they had. The passengers were a good mix, with many families and older. No one was wild, just fun. Our waiter and room stewards were excellent. Same for the cruise director and assistant cruise director. The staff of the ship was the most friendly of any cruise we had been on. A small example. One night we found our room steward forgot to leave candies on our bed. My wife immediately found are steward. He appoligized and gave her double candies for his oversight. That is kind of simple jesture people remember. It shows good people coupled with good training. The ship also was very clean and showed very little wear. The fitness center was well enquipped with a nice jogging track up top. I wake up early, so it was nice that pastries and fruit were often available in the cafeteria before the posted opening time. Independent check out worked really well. We were off the boat far sooner than we expected. This was our first time on Carnival. You did not disappoint us and we would cruise Carnival again.Ports of Call
Pros: Crew very friendly, activities very good, ship was clean, singers/dancers top notch.
Cons: Some dinner selections (but not many) a bit below par. Had to dock at industrial pier in Jamaica.
