5 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)
Sail Date: October 28, 2006
Ship: Carnival Imagination
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Although there are many newer ships in the Carnival line, the Imagination continues to impress me after 3 trips. I have been on other comparable older ships like the Fascination and find the Imagination the most pleasing. The dining room rivals that of Princess and Norwegian, the cabins are large and comfortable with excellent bedding and wonderful steward service. True, they need to be renovated to truly compete with the more luxurious options, but the Imagination provides the best value at sea. The shore excursions are well organized and offer something for everyone. Singles, couples and families all find their place onboard the Imagination. I highly recommend this ship and I particularly love to travel with Carnival during a holiday or festival. This year's Western Caribbean itinerary during Halloween was the perect getaway, with the ship decorated and parties galore for the occasion. Costumes were worn, trick or treating time for the kids was arranged, and the treats continued late night for the adults.

Don't Miss: Stingray City!

Pros: Excellent service, superior dining room meals, best pizzeria and 24hr frozen yogurt/ice cream, spacious cabins, great casino

Cons: Cabins and Spa need updating, Buffet could improve taste/quality, Entertainment/Shows disappointing

Recommends Carnival Imagination? Yes!
