Fun Affordable Group Trip

Sail Date: August 19, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Suite

The Imagination, while older, is still in good shape. The decor is not the most modern but the common areas are clean and bright. The suites are very roomy with a whirlpool tub/detachable shower head which makes it easy to bathe children. Dining rooms and Horizon Bar & Grill also decent - reminds you of the Disco era.

Pros: Suite Stateroom has plenty of room to accomodate 3 adults and 2 children

Cons: Quality of food in dining room for dinner was inconsistent

Ocho Rios, Jamaica
Dunn's River Falls if you are physically fit! Coyoba Gardens/Mahoo Falls if you want falls with less of a challenge. Very beautiful. The Ruins - all you can eat buffet for $15 for adults with the best jerk pork that I have ever eaten. Also includes beer and wine (not Rum Punch though).
George Town, Grand Cayman
Not a lot to do if you're not a beach/swimming person. My suggestion, arrange for a rental car to pick you up at the pier and drive to Rum Point on the North side of the island. It is a very quiet beautiful beach with calm waters, changing facilities/showers, a restaurant with island music, a store, plenty of lounge chairs, hammocks etc. It's about a 50 minute drive and allows you to see a lot of the island. The water was crystal clear and calm - my 4 year old was at ease in the water with her "floaties".
