Sailed western carib early Jan 2001. Embarkation process was quick and orderly. By far the best part of the trip. Had a mini suite on V deck. Room was small and door to verandah was swelled and ajar. Drapes were torn from hanger and TV reception was terrible but the water pressure in the bathroom was exceptional and there was always plenty of hot water.Room service was marginal. Had to request toilet paper 3 times and on one occasion found marijuana leaves (yes weed, and not mine) on bedspread after room makeup.Food was ok in the dining rooms and service was good although limited menu selection. Buffet offerings was always the same: rice, beef stroganoff, rolls. Horizon grill served hot dogs, fries and burgers. Twice I had burgers that were undercooked. Waiters collecting trays in these areas were noisy and buter-fingered as dishes were dropped countless times.Entertainment was limited and during my cruise several performers were no shows that resulted in audience participation. (Good once but got dull fast) Kids programs were non existant. For exercise buffs there is an eighth mile padded jogging track and a nautilis room with all the up to date equipment. Neither was crowded. Why this ship has a water slide on pool deck is beyond me. It takes up a lot of space and was only operational 2 hours a day.A party ship this is not. The age group during my cruise seemed to be around 45 although there were also many seniors. About 8 elderly people in wheelchairs constantly slowed things down and backed up corridors and elevators. Even getting on and off at the 2 ports was hampered and embarktation was delayed 45 minutes in order to move these people. Imagination: Gave it a try, never do it again.Bob, MA
