Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

the ship was old but well kept, the food was very good to excellent but cold every day and night in the dining room. we did complain but nothing changed. our cabin was situated midship and the last day I inquired why at night was it so noisy we could not sleep at all. well, the last night we we told the dining room was sitauated above us and each night they were moving chairs. cleaning etc. The entertainment as far as the variety shows were excellent but the dancing oppotunities were horrible (we are dancers) and very disappointing. we went to europe a year ago on the carnival freedom and it was excellent so i know carnival can do a good job but this one just did not do it for me..i was planningon booking another cruise but due to this poor experience my next trip will be to an all inclusive by air.

Pros: food..good to excellent but always ICE COLD

Cons: Cabin horrible, up every night because of noise & banging above us

Recommends Carnival Imagination? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
older ship nothing that would wow you but nothing to complain about other than the constant noise every night abover the cabin from about 11pm to 6am
Service and Staff
nobody went above and beyond, the cabin steward never introduced himself, if you asked 10 different staff memembers a question you got 10 different answere
Ship Quality
the ship size was 70,000 plus tons it was very easy to navigate
Food and Dining
everything in the dining room was very good to almost excellent but it was always ice cold which was very disturbing
Entertainment
the Las Vegas style shows were excellent but that was it...everything else was not good at all
