Cruisin' To Jamaica

Sail Date: August 01, 2006

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

After sailing 3 different cruise lines and ships. I thought this one was abit older which means it is smaller, some areas smell musty. Decor is older, etc....

Pros: The staff

Cons: The entertainment

Recommends Carnival Imagination? No.

Entertainment
Very limited. Same shows over and over, same gameshows. Same karoke. I was quite disappointed with the entertainment.
Ship Quality
The size was small. Our stateroom, ocean view may have been a bit larger than on Royal Car. , but more outdated. The staff did a good job keeping it clean.
Food and Dining
The pizzeria was a plus, ( with teens) , although it advertises 24 hour, it isn't, it does close. But having that choice was great. Formal dining rooms, I thought the food was VERY limited. Compared to a greater variety and more " common" foods on other cruiselines.
Cabin / Stateroom
The state room was fairly spacious. Older decor and the bathroom shower leaked terribly, causing a huge flood everytime we used it.
Service and Staff
Staff was extremely helpful and nice.
