Review summary

Overall, we really enjoyed our trip and will be back again.

Embarkation

A lot smoother and faster process. However, it would have been nice to explain that we get our sign and sail card later on the boat. This is the first time that I did not have to get my picture taken and card received before entering the boat.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the meals, especially in the dining room. There is a hidden bbq station upstairs with bbq chicken, pork, picnic sides for lunch. I only wish that there was more Gluten Free options like bread.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Loved the singer in the piano bar and the comedy shows were funny. Nice bands to listen to before dinner in the atrium bar area.

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I do like how the stewards come in only once a day. I felt twice a day was too much. It was nice that the waiters called you by name. I forgot my free shot glass at dinner the night before, and the waiter found me the next night to give it to me. One thing would be nice if they had a designated bar or two only for making frozen drinks. They take longer to make, especially when you are only waiting for a beer.

Cabin / Stateroom

Plenty of room for two. It fit our needs. Would have liked to have another outlet.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

We visited for a night after we got off the boat. A little crowded, but loved it. Will return for a longer stay.

Cozumel, Mexico

liked the outdoor bars right off the ship. Lots of shops to browse through without going into town.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
The actual town was okay. You really need to book an excursion out of town. We went to the reef hotel resort for the day. Nice pools, right next to the ocean, all you can eat and drink included in the price. Loved it.

Disembarkation

Went pretty smoothly. No custom declaration to fill out for us. We had more control of a basic time when we wanted to leave the boat. The only thing is that they need more custom officers to check our documentation. there was a little wait in line.
