We cruised on the Carnival Glory out of Miami on June 24th, 2017. We had a 12:30 check-in. We walked up and waited about 10 minutes before we were able to get right on the ship. It was so simple and easy. The room keys are waiting for you in your room. This ship has a Guys Burgers which is amazing!! We ate in at the Steakhouse one night & it was really good. I had the ribeye steak. Our waiter/waitress in the dining room was Nanang and Bibi. They were so great! We ate at the 6pm dining time and sat at table 529. The food was good but the service was excellent. Our room stewards asked us on the first day to fill out a card stating when we would like to have our room cleaned. We could choose morning, evening or both. We chose to have our room cleaned in the evening. Our room was fine but seemed not as clean as other ships we have been on. (We have cruised about 10 times.) Examples of why I say it was not as clean: There was a bobby pin on the floor when we arrived. There was heavy dust on the door vent and on the decorative metal piece that goes around the ceiling around the desk. The ports of call were amazing. We loved Half Moon Cay. It was so beautiful there. The sand is like powder and the water was so clean and pretty. We rented the Villa "C" for the day. It was filled with fruits and vegetables as well as chips and salsa. We had to go to the shore excursion desk as soon as we arrived to request the villa we wanted and to pick the drinks we wanted to be stocked in the villa. Lunch was served starting at 11:30. We walked past the pirate ship and had hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, fruits and vegetables as well as deserts. In St Thomas, we took a shuttle to Meagans Bay Beach. We did not prebook the shuttle. We got off the ship and the people in St. Thomas guided us to a shuttle that took us and others to the beach. It was $8 per person there and $8 per person back to the ship. It is also $5 per person to get into the beach. The shuttles were there to take us back when we were ready to return. They do stop on the way for you to take pictures and buy t-shirts and other items. At Meagan's Bay Beach, there is a place to buy drinks and food. I saw several people with pizza. If I go back to St Thomas, I will probably not spend the money to go to the beach. Half Moon Cay beach was so much better. In San Juan, we took a private tour to the Bacardi Rum Factory. It was a great trip. San Juan is so unique. You can get right off the ship and walk to tons of shops and places to eat. San Juan was a neat port. The next port was Grand Turks. You can get off the ship and walk down the beach to chairs and food. Margaritaville is fun. We walked all the way to Jack's Shack and it was perfect. The water at Jack's Shack was so much prettier than stoppinig at Margaritaville. There were only about 30 or less people at Jack's Shack so it was like having the beach to ourselves. The water was pretty and did not have all the leaves as it did closer to the ship. Also, it was so packed with people closer to the ship. I would certainly walk the distance to Jack's Shack again. Back on the ship, we attended all the shows. We enjoyed the Epic Rock show the most. My favorite show was the Love and Marriage show. We did the self-embark when we returned. It was super easy and we did not have to wait in lines. Overall, our cruise was amazing. I rated it four stars because our room did not seem as clean as other ships.
