Review Summary

This was our second cruise with carnival but first time on the Glory. Staff\, particularly our steward and main dining room wait staff\, were excellent - friendly helpful and very good at their jobs. The Glory is starting to show some wear\, but still well maintained. Shows and entertainment were also very good and excursions booked thru carnival were top notch. We scuba dove in Mexico\, snorkeled the barrier reef in Belize and snorkeled a ceynote and swam with the turtles in Cozumel. The tours were well run\, entertaining\, and ran on time despite different ages in the group. Cudos to whoever picks them. The only negative for the trip was the food in the main dining room and Emerald restaurant. It was well below standards. In addition\, we missed a zipline tour as we were sick with food poisoning for a day after eating at the Emerald. The food was bland\, variety lacking\, overcooked and consistently poor. We stopped eating in the dining room. That aside\, however\, we had a great time as the other amenities - dive in movie\, spa\, other dining options - offset this negative.

Service and Staff

All staff we encountered were extremely friendly\, always asking if they could help and very hardworking. Our steward Johnson and his staff as well as Lawrence in our dining room warrant particular mention and were excellent.
