Review summary

Carnival Glory is a beautiful, clean well maintained ship in the fleet. Highlights are Guys Burger Joint!

Entertainment was excellent but shows were not every night leaving some nights thin on activities. The comedy club both "family" oriented and adults only were excellent yet again not every night.

The Glory crew (like all Carnival ships we have cruised) go out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Starting from check in to debarkation; crew members call us by name. Room stewards and dining room staff always greeted us by name and adressed any requests

The entertainment was somewhat lacking from past cruises on Carnival and other lines. The Western Caribbean itinerary includes Belize and Roatan as well as Cozumel and Cayman.

Belize is a difficult tender port with a 20 minute (in smooth water) tender each way. As for the port...the terminal area is quite nice with the usual variety of diamond stores, restaurants and T-shirt shops. Outside of the terminal...proceed at your own risk.

Roatan is a beautiful plush hilly island. Aside from this plush tropical appearance...poverty abound.

These 2 ports are worth....enjoying the day on the ship while others explore the ports.

Cozumel and Cayman are always fun ports with activities provided by the cruise line or other sources.

We would cruise this ship again....with the eastern itinerary.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Numerous choices from the "meat and potatoes" appetite to exotic. Dining staff excellent and friendly

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
usual hairy chest contest and trivia, bingo. Numerous musical venues throughout meeting many different tastes

Entertainment

3 out of 5
budget cuts evident. No live band for the shows...shows were not every night....seems to have been cut to the bone

Children's Programs

N/A

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward and dining staff always called us by name. Bar staff was fiendly and prompt

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
lacked a true "theme" of decor but was clean and easy to navigate

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Balconies on this class of ship are as wide as your cabin but very narrow. Difficult to use lounge chair rovided. Room was clean and plenty of storage space

Ship tip

Easy to get around except to get to the paradise dining room which requires a round about manner up and down floors to get to from front to back. Guys Burger Joint is a great addition as well as the taco bar. Similar to carnival Valor in size and layout.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Great place to start any cruise easy to get in and out

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
fun and safe.....lots to do excursion wise or just walking around on your own

Belize City, Belize

1 out of 5
long (20-30 minute) tender to port. Poverty prevail. Security with M-16's does nothing to make one feel safe....one has to wonder why they are necessary

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

1 out of 5
Plush and hilly island beautiful in appearance...aside from that poverty abound...again well armed security outside the terminal area

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
our favorite island. This island has its own economy aside from supporting cruise ships. clean friendly and fun. Could be a "destination"
