My First Cruise

Sail Date: December 01, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

1) The ship was supposed to stop at Belize for the 2nd stop. Instead, we found out after onboard that Coast Maya was the 2nd stop. This was a total deception by Carnival. The guest service staff was non-apologetic for 2nd stop at Coast Maya. It should have been Belize. This is a total rip off and cheating by Carnival. If we knew that we were going to visit two Mexico cities in a row, and we won't going to visit Belize, we would have never booked this cruise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2) The dinner menu was really a stripped down version, considering we were on cruise for Xmas week.
3) Room cleaning staff left their cleaning towers (used for wiping things out) in out room at least twice.
4) Sheets never changed - even the bed sheet got dirty.
5) Lilo buffet area: people made mess in self-service ice cream area. But no one cleaning them out on time. The Looks were simply disgusting.
6) My laptop computer (Windows XP) was unable to connect to Carnival onbaord Wi Fi network. I asked guest service, did not get resolved.
7) Entertainment programs were completely stripped down
8) Some entertainment programs were cancelled but no notice

Pros: first time on a cruise

Cons: The ship was supposed to stop at Belize for the 2nd stop. Instead, we found out after onboard that Coast Maya was the 2nd stop. This was a total deception by Carnival. The guest service staff was non-apologetic for 2nd stop at Coast Maya. It should have been Belize. This is a total rip off and cheat
