Though I only gave it a Good rating, it was a beautiful ship. However, its layout mid-ship was like traversing a maze. Cruise staff was excellent except for the bussers up on the Lido decks and the buffet areas. Always dirty tables that needed to be cleared and lots of passengers looking for a clean place to sit. Dining room staff and room staff were excellent! The port of calls were surprisingly fun. I'm 52 and was traveling with my daughter 27. We researched the ports and things to do before we went. We didn't book any excursions and chose to do self guided tours based on our Google info we found. Both ports had great local transportation and friendly tourist info centers, so we saved a lot of money by doing it ourselves. Even though I have several negatives, I would do this cruise again. Carnival really needs to do a better job on their entertainment staff.

Food and Dining

Dining room was fun. Staff entertained us at dinner. Poolside food was predictable. All areas were clean and well kept up.

Piano singer played beautifully\, but could not sing. His voice was flat and tone less and he had no range. Mini Asian band also had good music\, but the female lead could not sing well. The evening entertainment was corney and lacked polish and skill. Their singing was average. Problems during the illusionists show caused him to walk off and curtains to close. Technical problems cancelled the next evenings shows. The best entertainment on the ship were the comedians! They were hilarious! Kareoke was a bust. We had late dinner seating and so early dinner seating guests went to the early show of kareoke and signed up to sing. By the time we got there after dinner\, there were no slots available to sing because the early dinner guests sign-up requests were carried over to the late seating show instead of starting with a clean slate each time. The on deck activities during the day were fun and entertaining.

Service and Staff

The staff was super friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

Mid-ship was confusing and hard to weave through.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was surprisingly larger than expected and the bathroom had plenty of counter space and shelves. Our room was kept very clean and our steward was very sweet.

Pros: Our room was very spacious. The ports were fun!

Cons: The entertainment was seriously nonexistent. Singers who could barely sing and dancers who couldn't even do 2 full pirouette without falling out of them. Food was OK. I felt it was dumbed down to accommodate the over 900 children on the ship. Defiantly not a ship for single 20-30 year olds. I
