Cruise was OK

Sail Date: July 07, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The actual ship was nice. Plenty of lounges to choose from for children, three pools for kids, big water slide, events to do throughout the day and night, etc.

Pros: The relaxation and weather

Cons: Quality of food

Recommends Carnival Glory? No.

Ship Quality
The actual ship was very good\, clean\, plenty to offer.
Food and Dining
The quality of the food was poor. It actually got a little better the last two days\, but otherwise the menu in the sit down restaurants wasn't that good until the last two days. Scrambled eggs were powdered\, the pizza area that's open late at night is terrible\, etc.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very satisfied with the stateroom\, very roomy for a cruise stateroom\, comfortable beds.
Service and Staff
Couldn't say anything bad about the crew. Everyone is very friendly\, willing to help out and get you anything.
Compared to another cruise I've been on\, Holland America\, the activities that were offered throughout the day were not that great compared to what was offered on Holland America\, especially during the day. The night was ok\, with comedy shows\, entertainment shows\, etc.
