Delightful cruise

Sail Date: September 24, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The stateroom (and bathroom) size were larger than we've had before...very quiet and comfortable. The Carnival staff was extraordinarily friendly and devoted to service. Daily food was very good, if not exceptional. The variety of options (Mongolian grill, etc.) should please everyone. Entertainment was well-done, but the sound level was much higher than it needed to be, as was the outdoor music on deck. (Every musical experience should not be the level of a rock concert!) Smoking outdoors was really bothersome, especially in the Lido deck restaurant area. It should be limited to one part of the deck so that non-smokers could enjoy the outdoors.

Pros: Staff were without fail curteous, friendly, and eager to serve.

Cons: smoking in the outdoor dining areas (Lido deck)--should have been limited to one side; sound level of outdoor music and stage shows--painful.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Food and Dining
Quality was good; range of offerings better than good. Steak house was marvelous.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Room and bathroom were larger than we're used to.
Service and Staff
Staff couldn't have been friendlier or more eager to please.
I little too much 70's and 80's music. Would have liked some serious/classical/light classical options. Far too many photo 'opportunities.'
Children's Programs
Kids seemed to be having a great time.
Saint John, New Brunswick
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Took a 'tall ship sail' and was disappointed that we motored the entire time, even though there was plenty of wind.
Portland, Maine
Great place for shopping.
Boston, Massachusetts
Tour was excellent.
