Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

The boat should not have left due to Huuricane Irene. They should have waited until Monday to leave whan the water was calmer. We were falling out of our of our beds the first night. The next day they did not fill the pools so the kids had nothing to do. Then they were late to port and cancelled our second port. Really a very disapointing experience and would not take a carnival cruise agian.

Pros: Staff was very nice and pleasant

Cons: Should not have left since there was a hurricare coming

Recommends Carnival Glory? No.

Ship Quality
Ship was nice - did not like the layout. Shoud have more room on the Lido deck for entertainment. Layout of pools was weird. People waiting on lines for food near the pool. No room to have entertainment. Other cruises lines have a better layout for this.
Food and Dining
Food was ok. I could see lunch being average, but dinner should have been kicked up a notch. Very average taste, temperature etc. Soups were horrible.
There seemed to be something goin on all the time however due to the way the ship was layed out you had to go all over on different floors. Other cruise ships have things going on in the general vicinity of the others so you can see what is happening and it is easy to choose what you want to do.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room was nice. Kids loved the beds that came out from the ceiling. What I expected for a cruise. Was always clean and ready for us at night. We had a great cabin steward named Lawrence. Always made the kids great animals
at night.
Service and Staff
Everyone was very friendly. Had a great waiter at night in the any time restaurant. Jonathon was very good with the kids making them cute animals from napkins. Very friendly. All of the staff was great. Everyone remembered our names all the time. Which is nice.
Halifax, Nova Scotia
Average harbor town. Some cool bars restaurants, but nothing you could not experience here in the states.
