Great Getaway

Sail Date: August 13, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Very attractive decor. The makeover last year was first class and the kaleidascope always changing colors lighting in many venues was outstanding.

Pros: Entertainment

Cons: Scheduling conflicts when dining late.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Food and Dining
Ship Quality
We haven't been on a cruise since our Alaska adventure in 2007. This ship was just what we needed.
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
We didn't have a problem, but our tablemates experienced issues receiving their bottle of wine first night at late seating in Platinum and waited way to long for their meal. They spoke to the staff and everything was A-OK after that night.
Entertainment
The talent and energy of those young people was amazing and certainly the illusionist was outstanding too.
Saint John, New Brunswick

Don't Miss: Reversing falls.
Halifax, Nova Scotia

Don't Miss: Brewery tour.
