This was our first cruise so we didn't know what to expect. Our stateroom was larger than expected and comfortable. Our room steward was fantastic. Our dining staff in the platnium club was very attentative and professional. We were a bit disappointed in the quality of the food not just the evening meal but in any of the restaurant. It wasn't restaurant quality meals, actually it didn't match the quality of food served al most of the hotels we've dined at. Many of the areas seemed under staffed, long lines and overworked employees sometimes seemed short. Again - this was our first cruise so we thought this was normal but while listening to others on the cruise with many crusies (some on the very same cruise) we heard similar remarks regarding short staff, long lines etc.
The ship definately has some miles on her - showing wear and looked a bit dated.

Overall it was a good experience, we were a little disappointed but we would certainly think about taking a cruise again.

Service and Staff

Overall would rate the staff as "good" many were super friendly, helpful and professional. Always inquiring if everythng was okay and if we were having a good time. And then there were the gray ones - they were there, interaction was minimal and service paled in comparison to the professionals. Maybe best summarized as professionals and the "it's a job" people.

Ship Quality

ship showing wear and tear, from a distance things look pristine but up close they were not so clean. This comment is more about the Red Sail and open eating areas, not the rooms or Platinum club. Some of the tables on the Lido deck had a thick buildup of grime - you could scratch through it to get to the surface of the table. I didn't want to touch the surface of put my silverware on the table without a barrier (napkin).

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was excellent - decor was a bit outdated but room was clean, larger than expected and out steward was awesome. Professional and always taking care of the room.

Our first experience outside mainland America. Tour we took had awesome views, but seeing the poor was unsettling. Overall a good place to visit.

Absolutely beautiful - the history is amazing. We took a bus tour and the driver was so informative and entertaining. I would say this was favorite destination for really soaking in the culture. it wasn't the best beach location, but it had so much more!

This was a true dissapointment. We took a taxi into "down town" and we were back to the cruise termibnal in 30 minutes. Maybe we missed something past down town, but other than the beach, it didn't appear this island had anything to offer.

Absolutely beautiful, after visiting Half Moon Cay were were a bit spoiled for the other islands

Pros: Assigned staff (steward and assigned dining staff)

Cons: Food and open seating wait staff, long lines (short staffed) in the red sail, mongolian wok, fish & chips, Grill etc.

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!
