7-days smooth cruise with 4 ports

Sail Date: January 30, 2011

Room Type: Balcony

The Carnival Glory is a huge ship with many different areas to hang out. I personally like the evening show ... the "Illusion" show (magic show) is the best! Each evening there is a show. Also, there is comedy show almost every night. The dining staff is amazing and the dinner menu changes every night. The qualify of the food is great!

The itinerary of the 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruise is wonderfully planned. The 1st port was the Bahamas where you can walk around and also take a 20 mins ferry to an island where you will find the Atlantis hotel. Then St. Thomas were also amazing with very clear water and you can swim with marine life within 50 meters from the beach ... the taxi ride to the beach is about 20 mins. The 3rd port is Puerto Rico where you can visit the different museums to find out the history. The last port is Grand Turk where the port is right beside the beach ... no transportation is required.

Pros: Visiting the different ports

Cons: casino and club were a bit smoky

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
It would be nicer if the room has hardwood rather than carpet.
Entertainment
the average age of people on board is about 50. There were daily Bingo and other shows targeted to older age group which I did not participate. It needs a real night club with dance music.
Ship Quality
very grand!
Food and Dining
staff is friendly and food is great! Many choices from lobster to steak!
Service and Staff
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Good historical sites, walking to downtown. Free trolley to go around town.
Don't Miss: El Morro Fort
Grand Turk Island
Beach is right beside the port. Nothing else to do but snorkel and shop. A bit on the expensive side for food & drinks.
Don't Miss: Snorkel
Nassau, Bahamas
Great port with shops, free wifi, local tours and walking distance to sights. Easy access to ferry to see the Atlantis hotel.
Don't Miss: Atlantis hotel island
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
good selection of shops but needs a taxi to anywhere else.
Don't Miss: Bushwacker at top of pleasure point.
