great ship, clean, easy to find location

Sail Date: October 02, 2010

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

I traveled on six cruises before, this one with Carnival, must say, a fast exit of the ship, we had our luggage with us, this made it easier to get off.The crew was always friendly, the one's serving us in the restaurant went out of their way to please us. The shows brought smiles on our faces, except one, which was more for the younger generation, 40 years and younger the words in their songs about drugs and killings, did not fit in, with passengers, about 80% over 50 years and older. We came early to the terminal and did not have to wait too long a big plus.

Pros: friendly crew, who served us,

Cons: the officers, as on other ships introduce themselves, here none in sight

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was big, we had our friends come over for a glas of wine and entertainment. The temperature was easy to adjust, in no time we could change it to our likings.
Entertainment from this cruise was well accepted and only one other cruise line was a bit better from the six we were on.
Ship Quality
The rooms were always kept clean, when away for breakfast it was done fast, neat and very well organized. The young man was from Indonesia, he and his help from Peru, friendly as they should be. The layout easy to get around.
Food and Dining
Can't complain about the food, we are big eaters, never did we leave our table hungry, what ever was on the menu was available and if we liked it a second serving was always to get. Only problem, Buffet did not have salmon and herring in wine sauce as on other cruise lines, maybe we were spoiled, but in the restaurant and at the deli plentiful and one of the best when ordered on our bread.
Service and Staff
evryone of the crew was there for the guest, friendly doing everything to please us. The Matre D' of the restaurant, never introduced himself and was a bit talkative to only certain guest, well he must had found out when he got tipped, not many guest did consider him as for leaving an envelope addressed to him, tables around us all had the same thoughts.
Saint John, New Brunswick
people were very friendly, many stores, good Canadian hospitality in overall
Don't Miss: to visit the Market place
Halifax, Nova Scotia
went for a walk around the pier, stores were far away
Boston, Massachusetts
we stepped off the ship, but nothing to see miles around, was not a good choice to stop there
Portland, Maine
not much around the pier to see
