7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip)
Sail Date: April 25, 2010
Ship: Carnival Glory
Cabin Type: Oceanview
Traveled As: Singles/Friends
Reviewed: 7 years ago
Overall, I thought the ship was nice. The rooms were very spacious and kept very clean. The big screen on the lido deck was a plus. There were plenty of lounge chairs available on all different levels. The ship decor was very nice. It only took about a day to learn the layout of the ship. Would have preferred to have more than one outlet for purposes of charging phones, cameras, etc for several people. The wait was too long to be tendered to the private island, Carnival needs a better plan.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was not hot the first night in the dining room but after speaking to the waiter he corrected the problem. The wait in line for fast food (the grill) on the lido deck was too long especially during sail away.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The schedule of entertainment overlapped if you had late dining, so you had to either miss an event or leave early.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Staff was cordial but not as welcoming as compared to other cruise lines.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Did not like the handles on the closet and drawers, did not seem clean to me. Some other type of hardware that could be cleaned instead of rope would have been better.
5 out of 5
Loved the location of shopping and beach activities being in close proximity of the ship. Great set-up.

Best beach day ever!

Pros: Spacious Rooms

Cons: Only one outlet in the room

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!
