Carnival Glory Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
Review SummaryOverall we had a good time on this cruise. we sailed on June 2, 2007 to Western Caribbean. Long line @ the port for embarkation but it went smoothly. We arrived @ approximately 1:00, so by the time we embarked our stateroom was ready. We did some wandering around on the ship, ate lunch and returned to our stateroom to find 3 of our 4 pieces of luggage. Our stateroom steward Cecil introduced himself to us & unlocked the mini-bar. Attended the Muster drill & returned to stateroom to check for the last piece of luggage that was missing. It wasn't there so we returned to LIdo deck for drinks/snacks. When we returned to stateroom we still didn't have our last bag. Read the carnival carper which advised that they would be delivering bags until 8:00, if you didn't receive yours to check on 3rd deck @ pursers office. We went down to find several pieces of luggage lined up along the walls, but not the small piece of luggage we were waiting on. We asked a crew member that was monitoring the luggage about our small bag that we had not yet received. She took us into an office where they keep smaller pieces and there it was. The luggage tags had apparently come off. So back to stateroom to complete unpacking. Spent most of the night @ Casino Bar & had sushi for dinner.
Day 1: Day at Sea - we had room service deliver us bagels & coffee for breakfast, then headed out to Lido deck for some sun. Lots of chair saving going on in the main area around the pool, but plenty of empty chairs along the sides. Spent a few hours on deck then returned to stateroom for a nap. Again we didn't attend dinner due to assigned late seating. Checked out more of the ship & ended up at the Casino Bar. Bartenders were great at this bar, entertainment (Steve Legend) was not, but it is however a great place to sit and people watch as it is a very busy area.
Pros: stateroom 1050 with balcony
Cons: unorganized process getting everyone on/off @ ports
