I have been on four Norwegian cruises and this was my first on carnival. The ship was beautiful but everyone I talked to say carnival is the party ship. We were looking for a party. Food was okay. On norwegian there was always something going on at night on the deck. People doing a train all around and in the daytime a live band, carnival usually a dj. the kids program was okay. The kids pool was the size of our bathtub at home on the glory on norwegian dawn the whole back of the ship on one floor were dinosaur slides and cool pools. the port days were great on carnival you could leave you kids during port hours at no extra charge. on norwegian they had scarce hours for port days. If you are taking a family of small kids be sure to look at norwegian ships and view some of there kids areas, they are beautiful
