Fun cruise

Sail Date: May 01, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

This was our second Carnival cruise. We sailed Royal Carribean last year and our family has agreed we will sail Royal Carribean for our next cruise.

The positives were our cabins were very neat and clean. Our steward was great...we never saw him, but everytime we left our cabin and came back our bed was made and we had fresh towels.

Breakfast and lunches were good. A good selection of healthy foods and traditional breakfast and lunch items.

The shows were great and Carnival does a great job of getting the party going! They really encourage everyone to have fun!

The cons...the dinners were not good at all. There were a few nights that we could not even think of what to order. The waiters have more tables to serve than on other cruises and this led to less personal service. The ONE exception for dinner was the Emerald Room which was an additional charge but very worth it!

Pros: The itinerary and the staterooms

Cons: dinner menu and food

Recommends Carnival Glory? Yes!

Ship Quality
Carnival ships seems to have less open spaces than other cruise lines. The ceilings are low and you get a "closed" in feeling in a lot of the public spaces.
Food and Dining
Breakfast and lunches were great. The kids loved the burgers and pizza. Dinner was a huge disapointment. Not a very good selection and poor quality of food. The exception was the dinner club.
Service and Staff
Some bartenders were not very friendly, others were great. Cruise Director was a lot of fun.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our steward did an amazing job of keeping our room fresh and ready for us every time we entered our room.
Entertainment
Everything was announced and you always knew what was happening. The shows were good and there was plenty to do after dinner.
