A Great Cruise

Sail Date: May 13, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship, Carnival Glory, is very well laid out, very attractive, and quite fun. The cabins are spacious and well designed. The dining facilities, formal and casual, are well designed and quite attractive. We enjoyed all areas of the ship, including the pools, spa, deck areas and bar/club areas.

Pros: The ship and its crew.

Cons: One excursion left late and we had to wait in line about 15 minutes. Other than that it was all great!

Entertainment
The evening shows were fun, though the music was too loud. The bar/lounges had excellent entertainment.
Cabin / Stateroom
The Carnival Glory staterooms are a good size and very well laid out. The beds, with their European bedding, are very comfortable.
Service and Staff
Great crew! Very friendly and helpful. The room stewards and the dining room staff were excellent.
Ship Quality
The ship, though large, is laid out in a way that makes space comfortable and inviting. It is a clean ship and is well decorated.
Food and Dining
The food in the main dining room was very good. In the dinner club, The Emerald Room, the food was outstanding. The casual food areas served a variety of food, all of good quality.
Nassau, Bahamas
As a first time visitor to Nassau I took the Atlantis tour and enjoyed the aquarium.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Took the Leland Sneed boat to St. John's Trunk Bay for snorkling. Good time but the price of sodas and drinks on the boat was outrageous.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Took the Golden Eagle Catamaran trip and it was EXCELLENT!!! Great captain and family crew. All sodas, drinks and sandwiches were free. The boat was fun to sail on and the stop at a small island for snorkling and swimming was wonderful.
Don't Miss: Golden Eagle Catamaran trip
