Glory W. Carib

Sail Date: April 08, 2006

Reviewed: 11 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Glory is newer than the Pride, which we sailed 2 years ago, tho I liked the interior decorations of the Pride; it's more tasteful. Best thing about the Pride was its cruise director and big band orchestra.

Pros: plenty of options on the ship, great theatre facility

Cons: enough lounge chairs but aggravating to use

Ship Quality
Lots of bar options and entertainment; great facilities for teens.
Food and Dining
buffet lines close down too early; no variety in b'fast buffet; lines long
food was OK; nothing special
Cabin / Stateroom
Service and Staff
Children's Programs
Key West, Florida
ship docks at military base, so it takes longer to get off than other ships that dock right by the town. Took too long to get off; long lines for shuttles; by the time we got into town, only had a few hours to shop for supplies.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
If you get off here, don't stay in the shopping area right by the port. It's a classic tourist trap, built by a developer who, from what I've read, reneged on promises to locals to make it convenient to get beyond the shops. Take a bus into town to shop and drink there.
