It was a great week to get away and we overall enjoyed the cruise. Disappointed we weren't able to get to Belize but they made a short stop in Costa Maya Mexico on the return trip to help make up for that lost stop.
Overall, I don't think we'll be sailing Carnival again due to the poor evening meal choices and food in general. If you plan on sailing Carnival, thoroughly research the ship before making your reservations.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food (generally a highlight of the cruise) was disappointing at best. The breakfast buffet was good with the usual expectations met. No issues there. But starting mid-day, we felt the buffet was sparse. You could find decent barbecue (when they were open) at the specialty location but there was an extra charge for the sushi spot and New England seafood location. Dinner one night (extra charge) at the steakhouse was good. However the general evening dining experience was extremely week with repetitive menus and limited selection. Service was good but what is normally a highlight of the cruise dining experience was disappointing.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Typical onboard activities were fine.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
An excellent group of singers and dancers entertained several nights during the cruise but there was little variety. Although they were good, changing up the shows would have been nice.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
The service was good throughout however nobody stood out as going out of there way with the exception of the cruise director, TJ, who worked hard at "keeping the party going".
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship is obviously old and in need a an decor "refreshment". It is well maintained but doesn't match up with some of the more modern ships.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The cabin was "as expected". Small but functional and the beds and pillows were actually very comfortable.
Ship tip
This end of February sailing was rough. The ship rocked allot more than we've experienced on any previous cruise. Be prepared.
Cozumel's port is huge and if one didn't know any better, they might not leave. If you haven't been to Cozumel before...get out and explore the island. Rent a car and drive around.
We spent the day on the beach in Roatan and it really was the best shore day of our cruise. Although crowded, the water was calm and the beach an easy walk in for experienced and non-swimmers. A great day.
Sorry the food didn’t wet your expectations.
I have had only good food and service the majority of the time. A quick talk with Maitre d solves issues. Glad you enjoyed your cruise 😎
