Review summary

Over all, I was very disappointed in the whole cruise. But, even a subpar cruise is better than no cruise. Needless to say, we will never take this particular cruise again.

Embarkation

Embarkation was quick and effortless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was unremarkable. Of course, Guys Burgers and Pizza Pirate was good. The deli and sushi was good. We didn't eat in the buffet. Went for the chocolate extravaganza and it was picked over and almost empty when we got there. I was very disappointed with MDR menus and food. I think our servers forgot we were there. My husband's tea glass was never refilled after the 1st glass. I had to ask for tea just so he'd get some more. At dinner the last night, I ordered a shrimp cocktail and the shrimp was spoiled. I also got spoiled milk from room service one day. So over all, the food was less than impressive.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were only able to get to the pools once. I did enjoy the trivia and live shows.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I really enjoyed the live shows and the comedians. They were very good.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was fantastic. He was always so friendly and addressed us by name. Our wait staff was horrible. Once they took our order and delivered our food, they were no where to be found.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship itself was great even tho it's an older ship it looks good.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was perfect. It was an aft balcony and very spacious. We were very happy with our room.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
We did not have an excursion in Glaveston.

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
We took the hop on and off trolly around Key West. It was very informative. There is so much history to the island. Then we at a a Cuban restaurant. That was very good. I really enjoyed it. And we visited the small aquarium. It was wonderful. I was able to feed a nurse shark which was the high light of the day for me.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island Did not visit port

Port was canceled due to damage from the hurricanes

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We spent an overnight in Nassau. The first day, we went to Atalntis and did a guided tour of the aquarium. The tour guide practically ran thru the site. She talked too fast and did not describe anything. When someone would ask a question, she would say we could come back and see the things on our own after the guided tour was over. The second day, we took a boat to Balmoral island and did the dolphin swim experience. The bathrooms at the excursion site did not flush so they were overflowing with urine and paper. There was no lockers available for personal belongings until they took us to the part where we were to swim, and they did not have locks on them. So dont take anything valuable. The "photographer " was just a girl with a camera who didn't know how to do anything but point the camera and click a button. The pictures were horrible and you could only but the whole lot and not individual pictures. Needless to say we did not buy the pictures.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Debarkation was simple and easy. Very quick and effortless

Sorry to hear about your trip. We are scheduled next month on this ship and look like the same places. Since Freeport is a no go what was the substitute port for it.
