This has been our 15th cruise, the 5th with Carnival.  We were put on a wait list for our time dining.  When we got to the ship and went to the dining room to check on our dining, we were told we were 30th in line to talk to someone.  Instead, I gave the hostess my name, and she said we would be notified within a day if our request was accepted.  Never heard a word so I called and they said our request had been denied.  First time EVER that has happened.  We were on the Freedom last year but when we got to our rooms, there were filthy.  The vanity was dirty and the shelves in the bathroom hadn't been wiped off for a very long time.  The carpets were disgusting and the toilet smelled the whole week we were on the ship.  The entertainment was not even worth going to.  The shows were "amateur" and you could tell that Carnival was trying to cut back on entertainment costs.  Bad idea!  The food was good and our waiter Charlie, was exceptional.  We traveled with first time cruisers and were very disappointed to share this "experience" with them.  Next year, we will definitely look for another cruise carrier.
