Waste of Money Cruise

Sail Date: January 01, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

Six of us got on the ship, couldn't all sit together as we were told we could. One handicapped, made her walk to the opposite end of the entrance to POSH to eat. Terrible vibration on ship watching glasses almost falling off table and spilling each time the thrusters were going. Food was terrible, no variation with the buffet. It was closed later in evening. Only good thing was the deli pastrami sandwich, but 8 days of eating this got real old. Staff in POSH was extremely rude at dinner and lunch hours. Acted as though we were putting them out for assistance. Even getting soda was an issue several times at bar outside buffet area. Too much money for a very unenjoyable trip. One excusion one person got sick, told we could go off ship to sell the ticket, but they cancelled out next excursion and didn't think anything of it. Traveled on alot of ships and this was the worst trip for all of us.

Pros: Room was very large and nice on Lido Deck

Cons: Everything else about the ship, staff, food

Recommends Carnival Freedom? No.

Ship Quality
Bathrooms were filthy and smelled, not enough room for pool area, felt like we were jammed in to get near the TINY pool.
Food and Dining
Poor examples of food in POSH, more like left overs didn't know what to do with. Buffet never changed menu for all of the eight days on trip. Old tasting and fruit was very mushy.
Service and Staff
Acted like we were putting them out with questions on where are we, food, directions. Always had items in hallway blocking path to door.
Cabin / Stateroom
Room 9206 best thing on the ship. Only had one problem trying to get room made up, staff off shore that day and no toilet paper.
Entertainment
ok
