Review summary
We recently sailed on the Freedom and had a wonderful time. Sure there are areas for improvement, but overall everything was worth it! The restaurants are good, but if you are looking for really tasty desserts, you may not be that happy with what is offered - I found there to be way too many diet cakes that were tasteless. In terms of entertainment - the shows provided were great for all ages. Pools were well maintained, however the kiddie pool is really tiny and there are no other playscape areas for kids to play (except for Camp Carnival, but parents cannot join their children there). The staff are quite helpful (especially the housekeeping staff) and can assist you when needed. In terms of travling with a toddler: Be ware that the ship does not provide whole milk - this was a HUGE problem for us as our toddler only drinks whole milk, and to suddenly make her drink 2% milk, it really affected her. The Sushi Bar is excellent and is a must! Getting on and off the ship is really easy and they did a wonderful job managing this process.Ports of call
Pros: I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and how simple the embarkation process was handled. I also loved having music in the lobby and the night shows were terrific!
Cons: The desserts lacked taste and there was only one tiny kiddie pool and no play scape area
