Review summary

The staff was wonderful and helpful, even the embarkation staff showed a great willingness to be helpful and friendly. The Itinerary was jam packed, just like we prefer. A large selection of activities in port. The ship does not possess all the frills of the newer ships - to be expected. Felt like the move to the American Table approach to dining was disappointing. I can get fried chicken and a skirt steak at home. The standards of service in the formal dining room just didn't "wow". Not sure if that's connected to the AT approach or just our waiter crew.

Felt like the move to the American Table approach to dining was disappointing. I can get fried chicken and a skirt steak at home. The standards of service in the formal dining room just didn't "wow" in comparison to previous cruises. Not sure if that's connected to the AT approach or just our waiter crew. They met every need, but missed the pampering and elegance we've grown accustomed to while cruising.

Our housekeeper was excellent. Never lacking for anything we needed. It was definitely a rough trip with the wind creating large waves. We felt everyone being in the front. The noise and vibration of the side thrusters early in the morning meant no sleeping in. Realize that's an impact of the room location.
