Great Itinerary/So-So Ship

Sail Date: July 24, 2016

Reviewed: 4 months ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Suite

Our favorite part of our cruise was the itinerary.  We absolutely loved the islands we visited.  We did a shore excursion in every port and still had time to shop every day.  The Fascination was the part of our cruise that we did not like.  The entertainment was cheesy...much like what you might see at an elementary school assembly, the ship is older and in need of upgrading...it's stuck  in 1992, and the food was awful.  They served the same thing for lunch every single day.  Hamburgers, hotdogs, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, etc.  Again, much like an elementary school cafeteria.  We found some of the ship staff to be friendly, but many of them appeared to absolutely hate their job.  I would recommend these islands, but would not recommend this ship.

Cabin / Stateroom
This cabin is one of the larger ones that I have stayed in on a cruise. You do have an obstructed view as there are 2 lifeboats that hang right out of your balcony. There are 3 closets and 3 drawers. We brought a power strip and would not have been able to make it without it as there is only 1 outlet in the room. This room works for 3 people, but one of the guest will be sleeping on the sofa which makes into a bed. It's not a fold out bed, but not as comfortable as the other 2, but ok for a younger person.
